'Artisans of Dartmoor', at The Devon Guild of Craftsmen, Bovey Tracey, Devon

Suzy's latest project, Dartmoor Artisans, is being exhibited at Dartmoor National Park's main visitor centre in Princetown until August 24th 2017.

The project, which celebrates Dartmoor's unique artisan culture, features portraits of Dartmoor's finest traditional craftspeople, including blacksmiths, thatchers, cider makers, beekeepers, hide tanners and potters.

Suzy's subjects include Dartmoor’s most celebrated artists, including Oscar-winning Lord of the Rings illustrator Alan Lee and sculptor Peter Randall-Page. Also featured are Luke Shepherd, a sculptor who teaches London surgeons facial reconstructive surgery, Jane Deane, a textile designer who breeds her own silk worms and Yuli Somme, the UK's last remaining maker of burial shrouds.

Prior to its showing at Princetown, Dartmoor Artisans was exhibited at the prestigious Devon Guild of Craftsmen in Bovey Tracey.
